The Cold Shift

Permanent claim record

Research Interpretation

Cold-delivery methods differ in medium, contact, coverage, temperature profile, and heat-transfer conditions; results from one method should not be assumed to transfer directly to another.

Evidence synthesis

The reviewed records use materially different delivery systems: water-perfused skin cooling, water immersion, and cryostimulation. Their exposure parameters and measured responses are not equivalent.

Limitations

This claim establishes the need for method specificity. It does not rank one cooling method as universally superior.
